Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your Amps & Octane account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how.
How to Delete Your Account from the App
- Open the Amps & Octane app on your device.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation message carefully, then tap Confirm.
- Re-authenticate with your password when prompted.
- Your account deletion will be processed.
What Data Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, all of the following data associated with your account is permanently removed:
- Your account profile and login credentials
- All vehicles and vehicle photos
- All charging, fueling, and trip logs
- All expenses and recurring expenses
- All saved locations (gas stations, chargers)
- All reminders
- All cloud backups
- All receipt photos and uploaded images
- Driver profile, achievements, and streaks
- Trailers and vehicle modifications
This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered. If you want to keep a copy of your data, please export it before deleting your account (Settings → Export CSV, available to Premium users, or contact support for a data export).
Timeline
Your account and all associated data will be removed from our active systems within 30 days of your deletion request. Encrypted backups maintained by our cloud infrastructure providers will age out on their standard rotation schedule.
Alternative: Delete via Email
If you cannot access the app (for example, if you have lost your device or cannot sign in), you can request account deletion by email:
- Send an email to [email protected]
- Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request
- Send the email from the email address registered on your account so we can verify your identity.
- We will process your deletion request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email.
Premium Subscription
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Premium subscription. To avoid being charged after account deletion, please cancel your subscription first:
- iOS: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Amps & Octane → Cancel
- Android: Google Play Store → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Amps & Octane → Cancel
